Rhyme Time

Rhyme Time is a program of songs, rhymes, felt board stories, and finger plays for children who are 18-36 months old and are accompanied by an adult. Rhyme Time is at 10:30 - 11:00 AM. See calendar of events for current schedule.

Story Time

Story Time at the New Hartford Public Library consists of stories, songs, rhymes and crafts and is for children who are 3 - 5 years old and  are accompanied by an adult.  Story Time is at 10:30 - 11:00 AM.  See calendar of events for current schedule.

Library Play Group The Library Play Group is a drop in program for children who are 4 years old and younger accompanied by an adult. There will be a story and crafts, snacks and play time with toys and books in the children's area of the Library. It is at 10:30 - 11:30 AM and will be held on alternating  Fridays. Baby Lapsit Baby Lapsit is a drop in language program of rhymes and play for Children from birth to 18 months accompanied by an adult. It is at 10:30 AM and is held on alternating Fridays. See calendar of events for current schedule.

Magic by Brennan   Brennan Pimpinella Magic will perform at the New Hartford Public Library on Wednesday, February 17, at 2:00 in the Sammon Room.  “It is easy to see why Brennan Pimpinella is a magician. The Rome resident's personality shines and sparkles when he is performing. His youth allows him a connection with teenagers and children, while his witty nature provides a framework for interacting with adults.” (Kristen Raab , Life&Times of Utica)  Visit the New Hartford Public Library for free family fun during the February school vacation. Play the Wii Game System   Drop in to play the Wii during February vacation at the New Hartford Public Library.  Children who are 5 years and older are welcome to drop in on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Thursday, Feb. 18 from 2:00 – 4:00 to play a variety of Wii Games.
